Music wise..you could call me odd.
A black dude whom doesn’t listen to constant rap? kfvskvnonfvnovo!
Sure, that’s what you say now, but have you seen the amount of assault warrants that have been goin’ around in the “dirty south” and the “hard east” because of some overpaid sonova…gun blaring out how hard he wants his…
Anyways, though, the music you listen to affects your mood. An example? If you listen to a lot of “reproductive” music, i.e. ALMOST EVERY RAP SONG OUT RIGHT NOW, you’re going to be horny. A lot. I’d also advise you not to listen to too much R&B after having broken up with a boyfriend, girlfriend, or wife, not even the old school. Because when Keshia Cole or Luther Vandross hit that high-note they’re gonna have you in tears, bawlin your eyes out over someone you never knew.
So when you’re angry or sad, you know what you listen too? Jass, orchestral, or foreign music. Why?
- You make your own interpretation in music without words, which can, in turn, enable to create your own interpretation of the song, and allow you to take as you need to.
- Foreign music. You can’t understand whatever the **** they’re saying, half the time, so why not? Try reggae, Italian, or Japanese music. You can’t go wrong 78.985% of the time.
What do I listen to? When I’m down, a lil’ Utada Hikaru or some jazz’ll pick me back up, a little reggae, too, if I get the chance.
So before you throw in that Metallica after you’ve just had an argument with your parents, think. Do you really want to wind up as the top story on CNN? Take it out, and throw on some smooth music…it’ll do you good.
